“ Tried this place on a fluke passing by, did not regret our life choices. Amazing view over the lake, delicious food at the right price, and fantastic service from staff. We had the periperi chicken pizza and the steak sandwich, both of which were great, and left with more than half in boxes for dinner. The lady at the front desk was also super helpful on places to visit around town. Thanks for the hospitality! ”
“ Love the place, food was just right for us and the views of the lake are tranquil and charming. First we reserved upon check in and mentioned to Jenny at Reception that we were celebrating our 30th wedd anniversary. We were surprised when we came later for dinner that she even gave us complimentary drinks when hub ordered a pint of dark ale and prompted me to order a drink too. Was just hoping to have a glass of water as I had a cup of tea in our cabin. Thanks very much Jenny for that extra attention, much appreciated! Food cane quickly, my chicken and corn soup was very tasty and got heaps of chicken pieces! Never have I eaten so much chicken in a corn soup. My husband's large Supreme pizza was really a generous serve and he shared a slice with me, he urged me to get more but I am not really a big pizza eater. It was good though, full of juicy ham, pepperoni, gooey cheese and crust is crunchy too, not so thin or too thick, just right. Maybe we'll have dessert at the cabin later, much later, I got so very full. Thanks again Jenny and staff, we'll see you for breakfast tomorrow! Breakfast was great, hub loved his panini with bacon and egg and I had the toasted croissant with ham and cheese. Our coffees were top notch! I also shared the kids' pizza with my hub, so fancy and sweet! Dinner on our second night is sppt on for hub as he ordered Fire breather pizza, but small size as his large Supreme pizza last night was huge and he over ate, as usual! My roast pork with gravy and veggies was so huge it was hard to finish. So shared some with hub. Some pieces are a bit chewy for me but overall, the meal was full of flavour. ”

“ Exceptional Sunday lunch just had and worth the drive to experience this restaurant. Seriously, they couldn't have cooked the meals any better than what was delivered. Pork ribs were so tender, full of flavour and a nice serve with chips and house slaw. The scotch fillet was cooked to exact request and the sauces and sides were really good. Had a greek lamb cutlet side also which was carefully cooked and full in flavour. The chefs and wait staff were very pleasant and attentive. Great range of local beers and wines, bonus points for Fog on the Tamar beer on tap. Enjoyed it so much, plotting a return lunch asap in the next fortnight. Many restaurants around Tassie not reaching the level set here and many pubs falling short also. Really impressive lunch. ”
“ The food was wonderful — meat was falling off the bones for the ribs and the salmon was tender though a bit bony. The chips and onion rings were fresh and it was overall a hearty meal. They have a good variety of ice cream flavours to choose from for dessert. ”
